About Dr. Casey
Dr. Casey Marie Jones, PhD
I’m a passionate STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) educator with PhD in Chemistry from Princeton University, 8 years experience as a Chemistry Professor at Lewis & Clark College, and 22 years 1:1 tutoring experience.
I have extensive experience helping students overcome barriers to their learning in the science and math classroom. I enjoy working one-on-one with young adults and have a strong track record for improving my students’ self-confidence and academic performance.
As a professor of 8 years I had an average 6.6/7 anonymous teaching evaluation rating among thousands of students with hundreds of positive comments about my ability to help students succeed during 1:1 interactions.
I have experience as a student, researcher, or professor at the following colleges and universities: Lewis & Clark College, Oregon Health & Science University, Princeton University, Caltech, Reed College, Harvey Mudd College, University of Rochester, University of California Irvine, and UCLA.

I have spent extensive time studying science pedagogy, the methods and process of teaching, and I have trained others in these practices.
